Crown Candy Kitchen

Crown Candy Kitchen, in Saint Louis makes the famous 24 ounce malt or shake. The Crown Candy Kitchen has a challenge that has a challenge in which the participant must drink 5 24 ounce malts or shakes in 30 minutes. Doing so you will be apart of the wall of fame at Crown Candy Kitchen. Only 30 people have finished this crazy challenge. But a man back in the 1900's had set the record. An astonishing seven malt or shakes in six minutes. I think if I would have done that I would have been throwing it back up or having a major brain freeze.
The Crown Candy Kitchen not only make shakes. But they also include sandwiches, coffee, a few more items. Although I usually blog about entrées, I would like to take my time to talk about sweets and desserts as well. These malt/shakes look really good to consume after having all those sandwiches and whatever else you may have ordered. I would really like to visit this place to try and consume 5 malts or shakes.

Phil's BBQ

The pulled pork sandwich, made only in Phil's BBQ in San Diego. It contains a generous handful of pork and Phil's special BBQ sauce. Pulled pork means that it is pork meat, but is shredded down. What I have seen and researched so far on this mouth watering sandwich is that the pulled pork sandwich from Phil's BBQ is that this sandwich is rather not as expensive as it looks. Although I have had pork, I have never tried it like the way Phil's BBQ does.
Phil's BBQ was featured in Man V Food, and although only the pulled pork was featured, there are other delicious food that is in their menu. For example, the 10 - 12 bones baby back ribs. These scrumptious ribs can fill you up without a doubt. I would like to visit this place and eat my heart out at Phil's BBQ in an instant.

Gigante Burrito

The "Gigante Burrito" is created only in Knoxville, Tennessee in a restaurant called Sweet P's BBQ that serves barbecue. The gigante burrito has claimed the food craving of people, but only a few have conquered this beast. The burrito consists of a 4 pound barbecue burrito with chopped pork, beans and along come the sides which include coleslaw and cheddar cheese. This has been in the show "Man V Food." Even Adam Richman (the host of Man V Food) didn't even conquer this beast. This burrito is like no other because it's huge and it's packing a lot of ingredients on the inside.
The Gigante Burrito is not a daily thing to eat if you're going out with your friends. This a true definition of "man versus food." It's only between you and the food. The challenge is that you have to finish this burrito by yourself, and the challenge consists of finishing the 4 lbs burrito, 1 1/2 lbs of mac and cheese and 1 1/2 banana pudding. The twist is that you MUST finish all of it including the sides in 1 hour! That may seem like it's easy to do, but once you're in the "driver's seat" you'll hit a wall even before getting halfway.

I DID NOT TAKE THIS PICTURE, I DO NOT OWN IT. I HAVE RESPECTFULLY BORROWED IT FROM http://www.sweetpbbq.com/ and this as well http://www.travelchannel.com/TV_Shows/Man_V_Food/Photos/Slideshow_Knoxville_Photos?slidevalue=2

Spring Rolls

Although it says "Spring Rolls" my mom says that it's usually a summer time food. It's very refreshing and it's similar to egg rolls. I chose this food because all my other food were grilled, fried, or cooked. This food is fresh and hand rolled. It contains, a rice wrapping, vermicelli (rice noodles), shrimp, beef, basil, mint leaves and many more. It is then made in a sauce, a thick like substance sauce. It has peanut butter, hoisin sauce, sugar, and a bit of water. My family usually makes this during the summer time when it gets to hot. The taste does not feel heavy when you consume it. The sensation when you eat it is phenomenal when you are hungry.
What people do not know about it is that the actual insides is just a variety to egg roll. There is more than just spring rolls. But I will not get into that this time (maybe another time). If you want to try spring rolls, it is usually sold in a Vietnamese restaurant. Spring rolls can be either categorized as appetizers or an entrée. This food is considered to be healthy because it is low on fat and calories. I hope you guys learned a bit or a lot more about spring rolls.  *These pictures and information I used were from http://whatscookingamerica.net/Appetizers/SpringRolls.htm & http://www.digsmagazine.com*

Lau Lau

Lau Lau, a Hawaiian dish. This dish is usually served in Luau's. It's usually wrapped in taro leaf. In lau lau, it has boneless pork, salted butterfish, or chicken. The way that it is made is that it sits on top of a underground oven called an imu to steam. This process is repeated and then it is wrapped up again in banana leaves. This food is not your daily food that you eat.
These are usually made and eaten for weddings, graduations, or any other types of event that is big. Here is a link to show some examples of how lau lau actually is. I also have a picture for you to see the inside of it, and might I add that it looks quite delicious! I hope you learned just a bit about the Hawaiian Culture!

Phó

This post will be talking about a famous food from the Vietnamese culture, phó. Phó originally came from Vietnam. They usually eat this during a cold or rainy day. Phó has a variety of selections. From thin slices of rare beef, chicken, and many more. But my favorite one is is phó tai which is the phó with thin slices of rare beef. What is in phó is usually chicken broth, rice noodles, sometimes ginger, and spices. Usually when you are eating phó you usually want these to eat with it. And if you want a bit more of a taste to it, you would put fat into the soup. This picture is phó ga, which is chicken. And it was home made. Those green sticks are green onion, and usually in phó restaurants they have that in a bowl of fat to put in your phó.

There is a phó restaurant that hosts a challenge for a bowl of phó. But this challenge consists of 2 pounds of meat and two pounds of noodles within an hour. It combines 3 (xe lua) which in actual translation means "train". In Vietnamese it's the biggest bowl size you can get when you are eating phó. You get to keep the actual bowl, it's free, and you get a t-shirt if you complete in that time frame! But if you don't finish, you must pay 22 dollars for it. This is the only challenge I know of that is close by to us that has food from my culture. If you would like to see more of this Phó Garden Challenge click here. I hope you learned a bit of how to eat pho and a bit of my culture. *I do not own this picture to the right* It is from the site that says "click here" which is from phogardensf.com

The Ultimate Destroyer - Kansas City

Pictures are found here *I DO NOT OWN THESE PICTURES*

Adam Richman of Man V Food holding his opponent.

The total price of this is 48 dollars.

Here in Kansas City is one of the biggest sandwiches that are made and sold in Kansas City, "The Ultimate Destroyer". They only make this type of creation at Papa Bob's Bar-B-Que's. This whopping sandwich contains 7 hickory-smoked meats (a half pound of hickory smoked pork, a half pound of hickory smoked ham, turkey, then comes the beef, a half pound of tender smoked brisket, and a half pound of hickory smoked sausages) stuffed in between 4 slices of bread, and along with some homemade barbecue sauce. The challenge is that you have to eat this in 45 minutes, no breaks or anything. Also, you must finish the side that is given to you, french fries in this case. But there are more than just the Ultimate destroyer. Papa Bob's BBQ sell a variety of BBQ food. Other foods they have on their mouth-watering menu are chicken fingers, grilled chicken, ribs, burgers, and delicious sides that can fill you up without even eating a full meal!

The man that is in this picture is a host for a food show called "Man V Food". His name is Adam Richman. His job is to seek out all the food in the country or the world and to try them and to complete challenges. He also tells he the reviews of each state he travels too. Usually before he eats such as the Ultimate Destroyer, he prepares days before, by fasting a bit.  Hope you like it.

Introduction

My blog is about food. Not just fast food, exotic foods. I thought of "DrunkWithFood" because when you eat a lot of good food, your mouth actually begins to water (or mine does at least). On my blog I will show you pictures of food. I will also show where it came from and what is in it, the history of it and if I can, I will show you how to make it. This blog is just to spread the love of food and actually think about the amazing combinations you can do with any food. Sometimes, when I find something interesting on TV that I see, I will try and find it and give you a link to see the delicious food. As I know everyone has to eat. But this is different. They get to examine the food and crave for it. These foods can be from the United States to anywhere else in the world. Hope you get hungry reading and looking at these food you can't eat! (:
